Build Your Own Blogging Network
Jan 29th
Not long ago I figured that blogging is an effective way to promote websites, wordpress based blogs are obvious and easy choice for me, so far we all agree that wordpress is perfect for casual as well as professional bloggers, with the GPL liberal license make the WordPress the most famous and versatile blogging software of all time.
Lately I figured that I should build my own blogs and promote them, subsequently I can use my own blogs to promote my other websites, this is not something new, the existence of blog networks already says it all, but those are not my own sites and I don’t have control, not to mention I can’t just post to them, obviously I will have to pay the owner to use their blogs, probably not cheap at all.
If you have tried to maintain a few different blogs you will know its not easy, if you’re not using your blogs as spamming device, to write real stuff for your blogs will be time consuming, its never easy to build successful blogs. I’ve seen quite a few real world examples, look at this one, Jade Jewelry, it has a nice name, the content on the site is not bad, since this is not a themed blog, there are all kinds of posts on the site. One more example, Feng Shui Reading, this blog is themed, all topics are about same theme, quite a few keywords rank well for this site. Its easy to show more similar sites, but I think you understand the basics now. Here is one last note, some of your blogs should not be very serious ones, let them get some content occasionally, take one blog as example, Where to buy Tire Chains, doing this right you will have a natural blogging networks.
When you already have a few interesting blogs, add more blogs when you can, then use the established blogs to promote the new ones, get your own little blog network going is not that too difficult. This is just an idea, to build a successful network will be much more complicated, one of the most important things is that don’t get your site black listed by major search engines.

I am new in the blogging business, the first thing I do is to post to hosted blogs, almost all the blogs on which I chose to work were based on wordpress, so far we all agree that WordPress is ideal for almost all kinds of blogging needs, people even use it as CMS, together with Open Source License make the wordpress the fastest growing blogging platform ever.
After a while I believed that build my own blogs will be more beneficial, because afterwards I can use the already built blogs to promote whatever I want, this is not something new, all kinds of blog networks are out there for the exact purpose, the thing is that I don’t control those blogs, in addition there is no way I can post to them, probably I will have to pay quite dearly to have my sites promoted.
Its a tedious job to maintain more than a few blogs, if you’re not going to just put spams on them, the real content writing is time and money consuming, you have to put in time and money to build a successful blog. Some blogs are quite interesting, look at this one, Tire Size and Tire Chain, the domain name is pretty good, the content on the site is not bad, though its not a theme focused blog, almost any interesting posts get posted on it. One more example, Where to buy Tire Chains, this is a themed blog, all topics are about same theme, and ranks well for quite a few keywords. Its easy to show more similar sites, but the basics are all the same. Here is one last note, you should build some casual blogs, let them get some content occasionally, take one blog as example, Tie Down, this will make a blog network more like naturally built blog groups.
After you successfully build a few blogs, probably you can add a few more blogs to your arsenal, use the old ones to promote the new ones, this is the way to build your own blogging network. It sounds pretty simple, but the real stuff will be more complicated, there’s one thing you do have to keep in your mind is that don’t ruin your hard work just because you want to cut a few corners.
