I researched an outfitter to hunt BIG bear and was really looking at Alberta as you can take 2 bears. I looked for over a year and talked with a guy who hunted with George Peters at Northwoods Adventures and told me I would not be disappointed. Boy was that an understatement! Myself, and 3 friends hunted in May of 2009.

Traveling to stand in a boat on the Peace River every day was an awesome experience with all kinds of wildlife around every bend in the river. I harvested 2 huge bears with my bow and saw 57 different bears in 4 nights of hunting, UNBELEIVABLE!. I don’t think I sat on stand when there wasn’t a bear in site of the stand, and at one time I had 11 bears around the stand together. These bears are not hunted hard and there are a lot of old bears.

 George Peters is an honest man with a great family and I felt very welcome in their home where his wife cooked some great meals for us. The accommodations were great with the trailer, comfortable beds, hot showers, right next to their house.

 For a conclusion, This was the best out of state hunt  I have ever had, and I will be going back. I went on this trip with high expectations and was very happy to find an outfitter with a great area, big passion for bear hunting, and a man of his word. Thank you George, And if anybody wants to call me for a reference, I love to talk bear hunting, have them call me.
